Fava Beans are the garden’s spring gift. This is a delicious introductory recipe to Fava Beans. You get the classic hummus flavors with the bright pop from the Favas.
Ingredients

9 oz cooked and blanched Christine’s Garden Fava Beans, about 2 pounds fresh (check out our Instagram to see how to do this, or look here: https://honest-food.net/fresh-fava-beans/ )

1 15 oz can of garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed

2/3 cup of tahini

4 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

4 tbsp cold water

2 tsp ground cumin
-
1.5 tsp salt
-
juice of 2 Christine’s Garden Meyer Lemons

4-6 cloves of garlic

blender or food processor
Directions
- To your blender or food processor, add the tahini, water, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and cumin.
- Blend until smooth.
- Add Fava Beans and garbanzo beans to the blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Transfer to a storage container or serving bowl. Garnish with extra fresh Fava Beans, a drizzle of olive oil, and more cumin.
- Enjoy!
